My First Blog Experience

Due to high demand, I have decided to start a blog to keep everyone updated on my adventures in Africa. For those of you who are confused about where I am actually going, I will be in Cameroon, specifically in Buea for the next seven months. I have an internship there working on an HIV/AIDS project. I will be working with the NGO Health Care International and also with the ASK program, which works to educate and empower youth. I am very lucky to have this experience because of the most wonderful student organization, AIESEC, which you should all look into if you want to volunteer/work abroad! After my seven months, I am flying into Nairobi, Kenya and will attempt to 'backpack'....if I can figure it out and not get mugged and killed en route, from Nairobi down to South Africa. Anyways, that's the brief update on why I started this site and what I'll be up to. I am feeling a lot of pressure about this blog as most 'bloggers' have clever titles to their entries...and I don't think I'm that witty...SO expect to see picts and stories, but as for clever puns...probably not!
I am leaving on Oct. 10...which is about a week away and I'm starting to get a bit nervous!
